As we've done in past years, Scott and I invite our friends and acquaintences to play free Yahoo! football games with us.  I've created a Pick 'Em group and an "experimental" Fantasy Football league so far, and plan on creating a Salary Cap group and Survival Football when those games open up.  Here's the info you need to sign up:

Pick 'Em:
Straight up this year.  No spread, confidence points, or dropped week.

Yahoo! Sports Pro Football Pick 'Em
Group ID#: 5385 (BDFL/Nitevilla/Cygweb)
Password: brutal

Fantasy Football:
Individual defensive players, bonuses for passing/receiving/rushing plateaus, FG scoring tweaks, points for receptions, and other stuff.  12 teams max; six teams make it to the playoffs in NFL weeks 14, 15, and 16.

Definitely check out the scoring before setting your autopick list.  This league will autodraft.  We can discuss the scoring here before the draft.

Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Football (this link will let you add a team in our league)
League ID#: 299728 (BDFL Experimental)
Password: brutal

Salary Cap Football:
In order to join the group, just go to the game front page and click on the "Sign Up" button to create a team. After completing registration, or if you already have a team, click the "Create or Join Group" button and follow the path to join an existing private group. Then, when prompted, enter the following information...

Group ID#: 978
Password: brutal

Survival Football:
In order to join the group, just go to the game front page and click on the "Sign Up" button. After completing registration, click the "Create or Join Group" button and follow the path to join an existing private group. Then, when prompted, enter the following information...

Group ID#: 2773

I gotta ask, since Yahoo enabled the feature of carrying over the rules from a prior leagues rules, did you copy the Pixel League rules?  The rosters look similar to that league, that is why I ask.

I saw that feature, but no I didn't.  I copied some of the Pixel's League stuff from memory and decided on some other non-default stuff as I went along.  Of course, I had to put the 1 point per reception in there. Wink

Do you like the scoring?

I did notice the one point per reception.  I am game for anything.  The neat thing about trying the risk free leagues is that you can play with scoring features.

All the games are active...  please sign up!

We've got good participation in the FF league and Pick 'Em so far, but I'd love to see us get to 12 participants in the FF league and as many as possible in the Pick 'Em group.
